I think that in addition to the battle scenes, (which would be the coolest things in the movie if they were done right) the beginning of the movie should allow the audience to get aquainted with Ender before he goes off to Battle School. This part would possibly have Peter beating up on poor, little Ender and give people something to work off of during Ender's change.

I also believe that Ender should be older when he goes off to Battle School not only for making people more comfortable with Ender's genius but also to allow for a more emotional reaction from the audience. If Ender is closer to or possibly in his teen years, the older audience will be able to associate with Ender as they normally felt like the 'odd man out' in high school. This would also ring true with current high schoolers as we seem to like the underdog approach. For little kids, it would give them someone to look up to and think, "Wow, if he did that, maybe there's hope for me...". However, the fights with Stilson and Bonzo should be left in to emphasize exactly what Ender went through.

At the end of the movie, there could be a diary-like entry from Ender that looks back on what he has done and he tells the audience how such and such made him feel and affected him later on. I also think that if the director wanted to make a sequel, then he or she would have to include the whole deal with the Giant's Drink and Locke and Demostheses. I would enjoy seeing the Locke/Demosteses scenes anyway just because it is important to how and why Valentine turns out the way she does and how Peter is shown as a complex character.

I nice aspect in the movie would be the battle scenes. There could be some really great special effects done. I would also like to see the Giant's Drink, and the whole fairyland scene. I agree with Josh, that some parts of the killing of Bonzo would be deleted because, hitting his nose into his brain, and causing it to bleed would be too gory for some kids.
